Position Overview
6 month appointment pool. Vacancies may arise up to 30 November 2026. Appointments may be full-time, part-time, permanent or temporary, with possibility for further temporary appointment/permanency.
To be eligible applicants must have a working visa (for fixed‐term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
About the Role
The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake professional activities and activities related to delivery.
Lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field, providing up‐to‐date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations (RII30820), Certificate III in Civil Construction (RII30920) or similar, and Certificate III in Trenchless Technology (RII31619) (or equivalent).
* At least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning.
* Minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Registration Standards 2025 (or successors) – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).
* Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are eligible to apply, but must be enrolled in, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable completion within two years from commencement.

To work for the College you may be required to hold an Australian or Australian equivalent qualification(s). If your qualification has been obtained overseas, the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) offers a free assessment service to recognise your tertiary or higher education qualification(s).
