Gowans Auctions are seeking a highly motivated person to become part of our team initially on a casual basis with further opportunities possibly leading to permanent work for the right applicant.
Gowans Auctions conduct both weekly auctions and regular Antique Auctions through both live and online formats. We are Tasmania's largest auction house auctioning approximately 1500 lots per week ranging from furniture, artwork, jewellery, collectables, machinery, vehicles, coins and banknotes and more.
The successful applicant will need great communication skills, high level of customer service, be able to work in an, at times, highly pressured environment both as part of a team and individually, be physically fit and able to lift, self motivated, a pleasant nature, good handwriting, have basic computer skills and be available to work initially on Mondays and Fridays.
The successful applicant would assist in the preparation of auctions, help clients with incoming goods and pick up of items, setting items up on the auction floor, assisting on auction day and lotting of auction items.
