Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role located in Sydney, NSW. The PR Senior Account Manager or PR Account Director will oversee and manage client accounts, ensuring the development and execution of successful public relations strategies. Responsibilities include strategising communication campaigns, generating editorial and interview opportunities, thought leadership positioning, newsjacking and generating spokesperson opportunities for a portfolio of clients across various industries and sectors including building & design, lifestyle & home, technology, finance, education, and not-for-profit clients.
Day to day, the role involves supporting the client's marketing campaigns through story telling across earned media, content development, social media and influencer campaigns. We are looking for someone who is a strategic thinker, confident communicator, takes an integrated approach to managing clients, and can be a trusted adviser to our clients.
As a part of a talented team, the role includes working with the senior team on more complex clients, and the junior team as a mentor and coach. Our team is passionate about the industry and creating opportunities for clients, and we are looking for a like-minded person. You will need to have proven PR agency experience, be well versed in the consumer and B2B earned media landscapes with local media knowledge, a good understanding social media, and ideally have worked across influencer partnerships.

Key day to day responsibilities include:
* Leading, creating and implementing strategic PR and communications campaigns across a portfolio of clients with a focus on earned media, integrated campaigns across social, digital, influencers, content, partnerships and alliances
* Generating stories and newsjacking conversations to give your clients a voice, being aware of industry trends and thought leadership opportunities
* Being accountable and responsible for timelines, quality of the teams’ work, reporting and results to meet and exceed client expectations
* Writing media releases and producing content across channels and platforms
* Being outcomes focussed, measuring and evaluating the success of campaigns and reporting to clients and stakeholders
* Developing and managing account budgets in line with scopes of work to ensure account profitability
* Provide support for agency growth and development of new business pipeline - proactively seek new opportunities for the business, relevant to the agency’s areas of expertise, develop proposals and presentations to acquire new clients and revenue opportunities
* Proactively contribute content and suggestions for the agency's online/social media identity, presence and profile
* Mentoring and managing junior staff and assisting in their individual professional growth
* Offer crisis management and counsel to clients
Qualifications
* A genuine passion for PR and story telling
* Excellent knowledge of the Australian media landscape
* 5+ years PR experience and a proven track record in successfully managing PR campaigns
* Experience in developing PR and communications strategy
* Proficiency in managing multiple client accounts and delivering results on brief
* High attention to detail
* Exceptional communicator (verbal and written) and a confident presenter
* Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Proactive self-starter while also being a team player
* Strong industry network and contacts
* Ability to adapt and deliver in a changing and evolving media and business landscape
