Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver best practice Radiation Oncology nursing services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the physical and psychological needs of patients are met. Your role will involve direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring individualized attention to meet patient's needs
* Provide education and support to patients and their carers to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and effective handovers
* Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical practices and patient satisfaction
* Stay up-to-date with latest radiation oncology nursing standards, guidelines, and research findings
Requirements:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience (preferred)
* Background in oncology nursing (training provided if necessary)
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills with empathy towards patients and carers
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
