The Opportunity
The Works Maintenance Patrol Labourer is responsible for undertaking civil maintenance duties and repairs aimed at enhancing the liveability and environment of our growing region.
This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:
(1) Undertaking a range of civil maintenance and repair duties.
(2) Effectively using your communication skills to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment.
(3) Undertaking traffic control duties when required.
About Yourself
A person in this position will need to have relevant knowledge and experience in various aspects of Civil Construction and Maintenance Works, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience.
It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have:
(1) Knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and its application;
(2) 'C' Class Driver's Licence (essential);
(3) HR Desirable ACDC Chemical Licence (desirable);
(4) Chainsaw Ticket (desirable);
(5) Traffic Control Ticket; and
(6) MUTCD, Level 1 and/or 2 (desirable).
