About this opportunity
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and making a genuine difference in your
community? Scenic Rim Regional Council is seeking a customer- focused professional to join our team and be a
welcoming first point of contact for our community, visitors and internal stakeholders.
This position will work across the various Council administration and customer service centers in response to
operational needs, supporting a wide range of enquiries and services whilst contributing to Council's commitment to
high quality service delivery.
Additionally, you’ll also …
* Deliver an exceptional level of customer care to all customers of Council, both internal and external, by effectively managing customer enquiries, service requests and transactions via a multi-channel customer service centre.
* Manage customer complaints in a proactive and sensitive manner, ensuring the customer is referred to the appropriate department as required.
* Relay technical information in response to more complex customer enquiries, as required.
* Stay abreast of amendments and changes to Council processes.
* Promote, display and lead exceptional customer-focused behaviour to inspire and create a customer-led culture within Council.
* Upskill and educate customers by showing them how to use available online channels and other self- service opportunities.
About you…
* A Certificate IV in Business Administration or Customer Engagement or other relevant qualification, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively to provide a positive customer experience.
* Demonstrated cash handling skills including receipting and EFTPOS transactions.
* Conflict management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and to plan and organise work to achieve objectives.
* Working knowledge of local government functions, legislation and political structures and/or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
* Experience managing complex and sensitive enquiries using discretion, confidentiality and judgment.

team environment. This position comes with a base remuneration from $72,461.82, and up to 13% employer
