The Role
Austrade is seeking a Global Engagement Manager (GEM) to join our Critical & Enabling Technology trade team. The GEM will provide export assistance to Australian technology businesses, with a focus on supporting clients in critical technology sectors (e.g. artificial intelligence, quantum, advanced ICT, autonomous technologies).
You’ll join the Critical Technology and Defence Branch at Austrade, working with a portfolio of technology clients, supporting Austrade international programs and initiatives, to promote the international growth of export-ready Australian technology businesses.
Duties Include
* Work independently with a portfolio of select, high-growth Australian critical technology businesses, to understand their export needs and support their international expansion. This is delivered in collaboration with Austrade's global network of staff, alongside industry and government stakeholders.
* Support the development and delivery of Austrade international programs (such as trade missions), that help critical technology clients to understand and access international markets.
* Develop and maintain quality connections with Australia's technology industry stakeholders and understand the nature of the ecosystem.
* Represent Austrade and Australia in corporate and government settings, to identify and connect with potential Austrade clients, and support Australian government objectives.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in Austrade's global network as well as in state and territory government trade promotion agencies.
* Use Austrade's CRM and other digital systems to track and support client engagement
