Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
* Qualifications in Community Services/Mental Health are highly regarded
* A passion for working with individuals with disability, mental health issues and vulnerabilities
* A positive attitude, creative thinker with strong negotiation skills and intuitive approach
* Amazing professional team player
* Ability to establish and retain a positive rapport with customers, employers, support services and stake holders
* Ability to relate to people from a diverse background
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Advanced Microsoft skills
* A current Driver's Licence
* A current Police Check (or ability to obtain one)
* A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
* A current NDIS Workers Screening check (or ability to obtain one
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Coach customers towards job readiness
* Support customers in finding sustainable employment opportunities.
* Work effectively adhering to the National Disability Service Standards
* Assist customers in gaining the skills and confidence needed in becoming work ready.
* Support customers to keep their Social Services Mutual Obligations expectations from Centrelink, where required
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with relevant support services
* Refer customers to support services ensuring a holistic and collaborative goal approach
* Liaise with employers to secure work experience aiming for long-term sustainable employment opportunities for the customers
* Understand the requirements of employment and employer expectations.
* Advocate for both customers and employers achieving an ongoing sustainable employment relationships
* Maintain customer information according to the Disability Service Standards and the organisational requirements
