My client is an Australian company with a mission and vision to be a leader in sheet metal product manufacturing and specialised high-end steel fabrication in Australia.
We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join the team in Hope valley, where you will require at least 5 plus years' experience in a similar role.
Your new role
An experienced production/Workshop Supervisor wanting to join a supportive and close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily workshop operations and production scheduling
Supervise and lead welders, fabricators, and apprentices
Interpret fabrication drawings and job specifications
Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and Australian Standards
Monitor quality, productivity, and job progress
Manage materials, consumables, and workshop equipment
Reduce rework, waste, and downtime
Liaise with customers, project managers, engineers, and site teams
Support training and development of apprentices
What you'll need to succeed
Trade-qualified fabricator or boilermaker (essential)
Proven experience in a workshop management or leading-hand role
Proven experience in stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel fabrication
A minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication is required.
Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, and sheet metal processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Sound understanding of WHS and quality requirements
Hands-on, practical, and solutions-focused approach
Holder of various trade certificates
General engineering and problem-solving ability
