About the Role
Moduplay Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Head of Design & Engineering to join our dynamic team. This is a full‑time position based in Unanderra, NSW. As the Head of Design & Engineering, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design and development of our innovative playground equipment and structures, driving the company's growth and delivering exceptional products to our customers.
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate the growing design team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of design projects.
* Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
* Oversee the design process, from concept development to final product specifications.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sales, construction, and production, to ensure design integrity and feasibility.
* Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform design decisions.
* Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes and enhance product quality.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the design team.
* Manage design‑related budgets and resources effectively, including regular reporting on design and engineering team metrics.
Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years of experience in a design & engineering team management role, preferably within the outdoor recreation industry, or manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering industries.
* Strong technical skills in design software including CAD and graphics.
* Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
* Proven track record of delivering high‑quality design projects on time and within budget.
