Accounting Professional
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing income tax returns, financial statements and other accounting documents. They will also lead and manage a team of accountants, communicate with clients and liaise with government authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing Income Tax Returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies.
* Preparing Interim and Year End Financial Statements.
* Preparing monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Payroll Tax returns.
* Leading and managing a team of Accountants.
* Meet and communicate directly with clients to manage queries.
* Monitor compliance deadlines and lodgement due dates for clients.
* Regularly liaise with the ATO and other government authorities.
Ideal Candidate:
* A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field such as Commerce or Business is essential.
* Professional qualifications such as CA/CPA are highly desirable.
* Possess excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Maintain a strong work ethic and be keen to advance your accounting career.
* Demonstrated advanced knowledge of XERO, Excel and MYOB.
* Extensive experience in dealing with taxation structures, Division 7a, CGT, small business concessions and superannuation.
* Experience reviewing jobs started by juniors and providing training, mentoring and direction.
* Experience with budgeting, cash flows and other management accounting.
