Archivist Role Overview
This permanent part-time position is available in Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.
About the Role
* We are seeking a records archivist to design and implement a contemporary records management program across our organisation.
* The successful candidate will develop and implement retention and disposal programs for generated records.
* Key responsibilities include advising on appraisal, classification, transfer, and records procedures; responding to internal queries on best practice.
* The archivist will analyse data, conduct audits, and prepare recommendation reports aligned to Australian laws, policies, and standards.
* Create and deliver training to build a positive records management culture across the organisation.
Job Requirements
* Professional archivist/records specialist with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail, planning, and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritise and work productively in a busy environment.
* Collaborative and proactive approach; builds relationships with staff, Councillors, and external stakeholders.
* Physically capable of manual handling and ladder work related to archives storage.
