Offer description

Unity Housing is a recognised leader in the provision, management and development of community housing, boarding houses, disability and affordable housing throughout South Australia. Central to Unity Housing’s service model is its capacity to deliver solutions and opportunities for people to live in safe and affordable housing of their choice. With a focus on strengthening communities, recent new developments include delivering 70 sustainable, mixed housing options in Henley Beach and two new affordable homes in Bordertown, adding to a portfolio of over 3,000 properties supporting South Australians on low incomes.

A rare opportunity now exists for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join Unity Housing’s Executive Leadership Team at a time when demand for social housing and related support services across South Australia continues to grow. The CFO is a key member of Unity Housing’s executive, responsible for providing the financial leadership essential to the organisation’s long-term sustainability, growth and strategic impact. Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the Board and Finance Committee, the CFO will lead financial strategy, development finance, modelling, project feasibility, governance, risk and assurance, while overseeing finance operations, systems and capability to support sound decision-making across the business.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding leader with proven experience in senior financial leadership roles within complex and regulated environments. You will bring deep expertise in financial strategy, governance, modelling, reporting and stakeholder engagement, together with professional accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA. As a collaborative, commercially astute and values-led leader, you will provide clear advice to the CEO and Board, build strong internal and external relationships, and align closely with Unity Housing’s purpose, values and commitment to dignity, respect and social impact.

Confidential enquiries can be made by contacting Katherine Myers-Scott or Tara Hancock at Morton Philips on (08) 8210 8510. Applications are welcome directly through SEEK.
