Job Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Building Code Consultant to join their specialist compliance team based at a major Federal Airport site.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a diverse project portfolio, including large-scale commercial buildings and complex aviation developments, within a highly regulated environment.
As a Building Code Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting BCA / NCC assessments and providing expert regulatory advice. You will also issue permits and authorizations in accordance with the relevant Federal Airports Act and Building Control Regulations.
The ideal candidate will have accreditation or ability to become accredited with a recognized statutory body, tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related field, and expert working knowledge of the BCA / NCC (Volumes 1 & 2) and referenced Australian Standards.
Additional responsibilities include undertaking detailed on-site inspections, preparing comprehensive compliance reports, and representing the Airport Building Controller in client meetings, workshops, and compliance training sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct BCA / NCC assessments and provide expert regulatory advice.
* Issue permits and authorizations in accordance with the relevant Federal Airports Act and Building Control Regulations.
* Undertake detailed on-site inspections and prepare comprehensive compliance reports.
* Represent the Airport Building Controller in client meetings, workshops, and compliance training sessions.
Requirements:
* Accreditation or ability to become accredited with a recognized statutory body.
* Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
* Expert working knowledge of the BCA / NCC (Volumes 1 & 2) and referenced Australian Standards.
* Proven experience working across a diverse portfolio of commercial or infrastructure projects.
* Australian citizenship is required for mandatory baseline security clearance.
