We have a 12‐month temporary opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of critical operational technology and digital systems projects across the rail network. Working within a major infrastructure environment, this role will support the rollout of new digital and communications networks that enable next‐generation train control systems and operational technologies across the Sydney Trains network. The position will play a key role in delivering fixed technology assets and supporting major programs including FTN and DTRS initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a portfolio of rail infrastructure and operational technology projects within agreed timeframes, budgets, safety and quality requirements.
* Support the rollout and implementation of new digital network systems for train control and operational technologies.
* Coordinate the delivery of wireless radio technology assets and associated infrastructure, including DTRS systems.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across engineering, operations, maintenance and delivery teams.
* Scope, plan, cost and manage project activities from initiation through to completion.
* Contribute to the development of technical documentation, specifications, project schedules and budgets.
* Manage project risks, issues and stakeholder engagement activities to support successful project outcomes.
About You
* Experience delivering rail, telecommunications, operational technology, digital systems or infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of Sydney Trains, transport infrastructure or operational technology environments.
* Exposure to projects involving train control systems, digital networks, FTN, DTRS or related communications technologies.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
* Experience managing multiple priorities within complex operational environments.
* Strong analytical, planning and problem‐solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, IT or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
