About The Role
The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a Commercial Advisor to support the Global Service Centre (GSC) Project. The role will provide commercial and procurement advisory services to support preparation for a potential procurement activity and associated project documentation. The Global Service Centre is a critical service delivery capability supporting migration and visa enquiries, cross-border trade and travel facilitation, and citizenship program delivery. The Commercial Advisor will work under the direction of the Project Director to provide commercial modelling, procurement preparation, and evaluation support services.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide commercial and costing advice to support project outcomes
* Develop funding and chargeback models
* Model pricing structures, service credits, and indexation approaches
* Identify commercial and contractual risks and provide mitigation strategies
* Contribute to the development of the Statement of Requirement
* Support RFQ release approval documentation and cost estimates
* Provide commercial input into approach-to-market documentation
* Support RFQ processes while active in the market
* Conduct liability risk assessments to inform insurance and liability settings
* Assist with evaluation of RFQ responses, including pricing normalisation
* Prepare contingent liability approval documentation where required
To be Successful, you will need
* Strong experience in Commonwealth procurement and commercial advisory
* Experience supporting RFQ or approach-to-market activities
* Ability to develop commercial models and pricing structures
* Understanding of commercial risk and liability frameworks
* Experience preparing procurement and project documentation
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work independently in a project environment
