Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Planner to join our dynamic Maintenance Team. This pivotal role is responsible for the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of electrical maintenance activities across site. By ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory and OEM standards, you'll directly contribute to equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and overall site performance.
As an Electrical Planner, your day-to-day will include:
Developing detailed maintenance plans for electrical systems, covering preventative, corrective, and shutdown activities.
Coordinating scheduled works with operations and other trades (mechanical, instrumentation, etc.).
Reviewing and continuously improving completed job plans and task lists.
Ensuring all planning activities comply with site safety procedures and electrical regulations.
Supporting shutdown execution for fixed plant, mobile equipment, and infrastructure.
Contributing to long-term asset management, lifecycle planning, and capital project input.
We're looking for someone who blends strong technical knowledge with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset. You'll also bring:
Electrical Trade Qualification (mandatory)
3–5 years' experience in electrical maintenance within mining or heavy industry
Solid understanding of mining electrical systems (HV/LV, VSDs, MCCs, etc.)
Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
A commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant electrical safety regulations
