Senior Mental Health Clinician Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our team in the Forensic Mental Health sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a real difference in the lives of individuals living with mental illness and offending behaviors.
This role will provide an opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to deliver high-quality clinical services. The successful candidate will have experience in undertaking comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments, as well as planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical interventions.
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for supervising the monitoring and direct treatment of clients placed on a non-custodial supervision order under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act 1997. You will ensure that forensic mental health issues are adequately addressed, and a high standard of service is maintained by providing primary and secondary consultation and advice to Area Mental Health Services and other treating services.
The ideal candidate will possess a postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing or equivalent, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and relevant experience working in forensic mental health settings.
