Job Title: Senior Legal Advisor, Commercial Law
In this challenging role as a Senior Legal Advisor in the Commercial Law section, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality legal services to clients. Your primary responsibilities will be to provide expert advice on complex commercial law matters, supervise and mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to the development of the team's expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver technical and commercial legal advice on matters related to government procurements, grants, and property law;
* Lead and collaborate with other team members to develop and implement effective management strategies;
* Mentor and train junior lawyers in areas such as commercial law advisory work, leadership skills, and relationship management;
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and private sector entities;
* Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and ensure that your knowledge is applied effectively in the workplace.
Requirements:
* Post-graduate qualifications in law from an Australian university or a comparable overseas degree recognized in Australia for admission to practice;
* A minimum of three years of experience in commercial law advisory work, preferably with government departments or agencies;
* Proven track record of delivering results in high-pressure situations, including meeting tight deadlines and managing competing priorities;
* Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present complex legal advice;
* Ability to work collaboratively with others, including senior executives, managers, and team members.

* Competitive salary range of $157,000 - $177,000 per annum plus superannuation benefits;
