About the opportunity
Located within the Provost portfolio, the newly established Online Strategy Unit (OSU) will drive the creation and implementation of a transformative vision for online education programming through strategic leadership and oversight of the growth and expansion of the University’s online learning programs.
Building on Griffith’s already well-recognised synchronous and hybrid online offerings, the Unit will develop a suite of degrees in partnership with all Academic Groups for delivery in a cutting edge, high quality, technology-enabled and student-focused learning design model.
The Learning Media Producer plays a key role in producing engaging digital learning experiences by designing and developing multimedia assets for OSU courses. Working closely with learning designers and internal stakeholders, this role ensures that digital content supports effective learning outcomes and reflects high standards of accessibility, usability, and visual communication.
Appointees will bring creative and technical expertise in a range of areas such as video production, animation, visual design, web design and digital interactivity. This role will contribute to the development of a cohesive and professional multimedia approach across all OSU projects.
Key Responsibilities
* With direction from the Senior Learning Designer ensure the efficient and effective production of high-quality digital assets for use in OSU projects in collaboration with the OSU learning design and media teams and academic staff.
* Creation and design of online course sites to be used in OSU projects and professional development programs utilising various software and online tools.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create style and consistency guides that encompass the branding requirements and design preferences of the OSU.
* Proven ability to interpret course content and design interactive and engaging digital learning assets.
* Proven ability to coordinate and prioritise multiple projects and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* Multimedia specialist:
* Design and produce a broad range of multimedia artefacts, including infographics, icons, and visual explainers.
* Create motion graphics and short-form animations, as well as digital interactives and web-optimised learning media.
* Develop instructional content for learner engagement and apply principles of inclusive design and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
* Additionally, you will also have a proven ability to interpret course content and design interactive and engaging learning that connects to existing learning outcomes.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Completion of a relevant degree qualification or directly applicable work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training with proven creative design experience or
qualifications
.
* Applicants with experience in using AI tool for creation of student activities and/or videography experience are particularly welcome, but not essential.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.

This is a continuing opportunity based at our Logan campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other campuses.
HEW 6 Salary – Base range - $91,843.49 - $97,964.71 + 17% super. Full package range - $107,456.89 - $114,618.72.
