About the role
Our Crew Member Pavements are responsible for competently operating small trucks and other plant items as part of a team. In this role you will be responsible for undertaking tasks such as general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete, lawn maintenance and drainage works. In addition, this role will see you undertaking traffic control, concreting including formwork, steel fixing and finishing, as well as pipe laying duties.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* MR Drivers Licence
* Current Construction General Induction card WorkSafe or equivalent
* Current RMS Traffic Controller Certificate (Blue Card) or willing to obtain
* Current RMS Traffic Control Implementation (Yellow Card) or willing to obtain
Other important information
* The commencing salary for this position is up to $61K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $73.5K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation and Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions
* We have 2 positions available - 1 x Permanent Full Time and 1 x 12 month fixed term contract
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
* This role is based at Mangrove Mountain Depot
