About our team

National Security & Resilience|Counter Foreign Interference Coord| CFI Partnerships | Coordination and Reporting

The Counter Foreign Interference Coordination Centre (CFICC) supports the National Counter Foreign Interference Coordinator to strengthen and coordinate Australia's whole of Government response to foreign interference. CFICC works across government, the private sector and the wider community to raise awareness of and strengthen resilience in our most at-risk sectors.

The CFI National Partnerships Branch is responsible for stakeholder engagement on the complex and evolving threat of foreign interference, with international partners and across at-risk sectors in all states and territories.

The Director in the CFI Coordination and Reporting Section leads a team that works across CFICC lines of effort to enable collaboration and facilitate information exchange across all sectors, maximising opportunities to achieve CFICC outcomes. The section supports internal, external and international stakeholder engagement by working closely with subject matter experts to develop communications products and briefing content for at risk sectors.

Duties and responsibilities

* Lead engagement with a network of key business areas in the Division and Department to deliver a cohesive CFICC approach to drive progressive CFI policy and achieve CFI outcomes
* Support the meetings and information flows of the community of practice between Commonwealth, state and territory officials responsible for countering foreign interference in jurisdictions
* Coordinate, engage with and support briefings to the Commonwealth and ACT governments
* Deliver an analytical function to draw together patterns, trends and insights from domestic and international CFI experience and reporting as well as coordinate internal CFICC reporting and briefings.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance, and:

* ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
* Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.

In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
