About the Role
As Team Leader – Heavy Patching, you will:
* Lead and coordinate a skilled team to inspect, maintain, and construct Council's road assets
* Operate and supervise heavy machinery including graders, rollers, and skid steers
* Ensure safety compliance and mentor staff in best practice road maintenance
* Maintain accurate records and liaise with the Capital Works Coordinator
What You'll Need
Essential:
* HR Driver's Licence (Heavy Rigid)
* Road construction and maintenance skills
* WHS General Construction Induction (White Card)
* Mechanical aptitude for equipment upkeep
* Ability to interpret engineering plans and supervise works
Desirable:
* Certificate III/IV in Civil Construction or Frontline Management
* First Aid Certificate
* Licences in Traffic Control, Chainsaw Operations, Chemical Use, and more
Who You'll Lead
* 2 Heavy Plant Operators
* 1 Skilled Construction Worker
* 1–3 Casual Employees (as required)
