Mandoon Estate is seeking a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join our team based in the Swan Valley.
Mandoon Estate is a highly awarded boutique winery with a Micro-Brewery, Restaurant, Function Centre, Deli, Private Wine Room, Cellar Door, boutique accommodation and a dedicated arts centre. This is a prospect to join a large dynamic kitchen team.
This is a hands-on role which will require weekend and evening work.
Responsibilities
* This is a hands-on role which will require weekend and evening work.
* Assist in pastry production to support the Main Kitchen for multiple areas.
Qualifications
* Work experience in pastry at a high level is essential.
* Impeccable hygiene standards.
* Proper stock control, ordering and rotation.
* Ability to train and develop junior staff.
* Ensure compliance with relevant Occupational Health and Safety procedures including knowledge of HACCP.
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen within a five star hotel workplace; will be highly regarded.
* Adaptable with working hours.
* Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
* Passion for producing consistent, quality food.
* A strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
