We're looking for a highly capable Senior Mining Engineer to join our technical consulting team. This is a hands-on role primarily focused on site support across Australia, through secondment-style assignments with a range of reputable clients.
You'll step into key site-based roles as they arise, covering planning, production, infrastructure and project engineering and work to standard Australian rosters (FIFO/DIDO). For consultants interested in international experience, offshore assignments may also become available. Internal project work and study support may arise from time to time, but the core of this role is delivering real outcomes where they matter most: on site.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and technical depth. We're here to solve problems and add value to our clients, not to play office games.
About You
You're an experienced engineer who is:
* Technically competent and confident stepping into a variety of site-based roles with minimal ramp-up time
* Independent and self-directed – you don't need supervision to get the job done
* Client-oriented – you understand the pressures site teams face and focus on delivering practical, fit-for-purpose solutions
* Comfortable operating across short-term, medium-term and strategic mine planning
* Experienced with Deswik CAD and Deswik Sched – proficiency is a must
* Backed by solid practical experience on operational sites
* A believer in strong safety culture and professional integrity
* Legally able to work in Australia (Sponsor option available)
* FCMMC ticket is a plus (not essential)
