About the Role
Emerald Golf Club is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive Bar Manager to oversee all aspects of our licensed bar and clubhouse operations. Key Responsibilities
Bar and Clubhouse Operations
* Running bar service including opening/closing, staff supervision, cash reconciliation, and high standards of customer service.
* Ordering and managing bar stock; maintaining inventory and minimising waste.
* Managing staff rostering across bar, functions and clubhouse duties.
* Overseeing gaming operations (pokies/kiosk) where applicable.
* Ensure compliance with all liquor, gaming and hospitality laws and club policies.
Functions & Events
* Manage function room bookings and coordinate setup, service and clean-up.
* Liaise with members and external groups regarding event requirements.
Reporting & Administration
* Prepare monthly reporting of clubhouse turnover, bar takings, gaming takings, function revenue, wages, expenses, etc.
* Maintain accurate records for financial reporting and compliance.
Facility Oversight
* Oversee facility assets including maintenance coordination, CCTV/security systems and reporting issues.
* Manage/implement new revenue streams such as promotional activities (e.g. "Jag Joker", "Putt for Cash", raffles, etc).
Course Oversight & Compliance
* Perform random spot checks on course patrons to ensure compliance with social payment/ alcohol policies.
* Maintain a safe, welcoming and compliant environment for members, guests and staff.
Mandatory Qualifications & Certifications (QLD Law)
To be eligible for this role and legally perform managerial duties in a licensed venue in Queensland, candidates must hold the following certifications:
1. Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
2. Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV)
3. Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG)
4. Approved Manager Licence (optional but desirable)
