About the role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Fire Safety Assessor / Inspector to join our team at NSW Fire Extinguisher Services PTY LTD' in Tempe, NSW. This is a full-time position responsible for conducting fire safety inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Role to commence end of January 2026
What you'll be doing
1. Perform regular inspections of fire safety equipment and systems in commercial and residential properties
2. Assess the condition and functionality of fire detection, sprinklers and hydrants, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, emergency lighting, and other fire safety measures
3. Provide detailed reports on the status of fire safety equipment and recommendations for any necessary repairs or replacements
4. Liaise with customers, building managers, and other stakeholders to ensure fire safety compliance
5. Stay up-to-date with changes in fire safety regulations and best practices
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inspections and assessments
What we're looking for
1. Relevant qualifications in fire safety, building inspection, or a related field
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in fire safety assessments or inspections
3. Thorough knowledge of fire safety regulations, Australian standards, and NCC
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce comprehensive and accurate reports
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders
6. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites
