Recent Graduate Grade 1 Physiotherapist

- Full Time, 12 month fixed term (Jan 2026-Jan 2027) with 4-month rotations
- Based at both The Royal Melbourne Hospital Parkville and Royal Park campuses

About The Royal Melbourne Hospital

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist surgical and medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology service employs over 200 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We are looking for enthusiastic Physiotherapists to commence their career as a rotating Grade 1 Physiotherapist with the RMH Physiotherapy team.

Grade 1 Physiotherapists have the opportunity to rotate across both acute and sub-acute areas including acute medicine and surgery, ICU, orthopaedics, neurosciences, aged care and rehabilitation. All rotations are well supported by skilled and passionate Senior Physiotherapists, who provide high quality patient care as part of a broader multi-disciplinary team.

Your Current Role

- Plan and implement efficient, effective, culturally responsive and client-centred physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management.
- Contribute to the operational needs of the department across a 7-day service model.
- Comply with legal, professional, ethical and other relevant standards, codes and guidelines.
- Evaluate in an inclusive, collaborative, consultative, culturally responsive inter-skilled and client-centred model of practice.

About You

- You have a recognised degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
- You are currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- You have a current driver's licence and working with children's check.
- You have experience working in a hospital or have completed a hospital-based student physiotherapy placement.
- You are able to effectively prioritise and have strong time management skills.
- You have strong interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.
- You display a culturally sensitive, patient centred approach to practice.
