Cochlear is the global leader in implantable hearing solutions, and we're looking for a Senior Electrical Verification Engineer to help shape the next generation of life‑changing medical devices.

About the role
In this key engineering position, you'll develop and execute verification methods for implantable electronic assemblies and PCAs. Working closely with design, firmware, systems and production test teams and overseas verification teams, you'll create automated test environments, ensure compliance to global standards, and help deliver world-class products with real impact.
What you'll do
* Develop, execute and document electrical verification plans, protocols and automated test scripts
* Perform audio, wireless, EMC/ESD and mixed-signal testing using custom and standard equipment.
* Debug hardware and support engineers in resolving design issues.
* Conduct in‑house EMC/ESD tests and coordinate external compliance testing.
* Set up and run wireless testing in RF chambers.
* Collaborate on the development of next‑generation automated verification environments.
* Coordinate verification activities performed by overseas verification teams and verification partners
What you'll bring
Essential:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* 4+ years in analog/digital electronics verification.
* Strong debugging and test automation experience.
* Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent documentation skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate technical reports.
Desirable:
* Experience with medical devices or safety critical systems.
* Mixed-signal ASIC verification exposure.
* Experience working with external test partners.
