Remuneration: $74,317.94 – $120,680 per annum + super

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Professional to join the Continuing Care Team within Manning Mental Health Service, based at Forster Community Health Centre. This role sits within an acute community mental health service supporting consumers across the Lower Mid North Coast.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality assessment, care coordination, intervention and follow-up for adults experiencing mental health concerns. You will work collaboratively with consumers, their families/carers, GPs, Community Managed Organisations (CMOs), and other service providers to ensure safe, effective, recovery-focused care.

About Me

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic worker, who is able to contribute their knowledge in mental health to be part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be directly supported by the senior leaders, Manning Service Manager as well as the broader Manning Mental Health team
A qualification in: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling, Nutrition, or Dietetics, with eligibility for membership or registration with the relevant professional body/AHPRA.

You will be someone who:

- Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate, and willingness to travel for work-related purposes.

- Has knowledge and experience in mental health assessment, care planning and contemporary practice.

- Works in a consumer, family and carer-focused way.

- Understands and applies trauma-informed care.

- Communicates well and builds strong therapeutic and professional relationships.

- Works effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Manages competing clinical demands and maintains professional boundaries.

- Can provide consultation to GPs, CMOs and other service providers.

- Is committed to ongoing learning, evidence-based practice and service improvement.

- Brings a positive, collaborative and flexible approach to the team.

Requirements:

Recognised and accredited tertiary qualification and registration (or eligibility for) with the relevant board via AHPRA, or eligibility for membership of the relevant association, in one of the following disciplines: social work, psychology, occupational therapy, dietitian or nursing.

- This position is full time; however, part time arrangements will be considered.
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
