We invite you to join Fairfield Hospital as a Social Worker Level 3, where you will deliver expert psychosocial assessments, counselling, and advocacy to enhance patient care. You will operate independently, ensuring adherence to SWSLHD policies and best practice standards while coordinating with other providers for seamless care.

This role offers you the chance to lead quality improvement initiatives, engage in professional development, and provide mentorship and clinical supervision. You'll also embody our core values, promoting cultural respect and inclusivity.

Provide specialist Social Work service to consumers and their carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with SWSLHD policies, procedures and standards, relevant legislation and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Participate in professional development, clinical supervision, teaching, quality activities and other relevant departmental and administrative duties.

• A Social Work degree providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Extensive postgraduate experience as a Social Worker in relevant clinical areas, demonstrating understanding of health settings and complex conditions.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and expert advice/consultation to social work services and clinical specialty.

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
