As the administrator of refrigerant handling licences and trading authorisations on behalf of the Australian Government, ARC plays a critical role in environmental protection and industry compliance. Your new role
As a key member of the leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be the driving force behind ARC's financial governance and operational efficiency. Reporting to the CEO, this hands-on role will focus on execution and delivery, enabling the CEO to lead strategic initiatives while ensuring ARC's financial health and compliance.
The CFO will be responsible for:
* Overseeing all financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
* Driving process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
* Managing contractors and external service providers to deliver value and performance.
* Monitoring and mitigating financial and operational risks.
* Supporting organisational projects that enhance sustainability and growth.
What you'll need to succeed
o CPA or CA qualification essential.
o Proven experience in senior finance roles with responsibility for compliance and reporting.
o Strong understanding of risk management and financial governance.
o Capacity to implement technological solutions for efficiency.
o Experience managing contractors and external service providers.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, practical, and solutions-driven, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
You will be approachable, collaborative, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
