About the Role
Orica's
Emerging FutureShaper Internship Program
offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience within a global organization driving innovation in mining and infrastructure industries.
We are seeking an
Engineering Intern
to join our team
onsite at our Kurri Kurri office from December 2025 to February 2026
. This role is ideal for students currently studying
Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering
who are eager to apply their technical knowledge in a practical, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting with
PCB design, assembly, and testing
for real-world applications.
* Supporting our
2Way Testing program
, gaining exposure to advanced testing methodologies.
* Working closely with engineers on
hardware and electronics development projects
.
* Learning and applying best practices in
circuit design, troubleshooting, and quality assurance
.
* Collaborating with the team to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.
What You'll Bring
* Currently completing a degree in
Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering
.
* Strong foundation in
electronics principles
and an interest in hands-on hardware development.
* Familiarity with
PCB design tools
and testing equipment is an advantage.
* Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and eagerness to learn new technologies.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
