The Opportunity

We are seeking suitably qualified applicants for the dynamic role of Manager, Marketing and Communications. The role will be crucial in developing and implementing communications strategies that promote the profile of NSWALC and the Land Rights Network. It will ensure that all communications reflect a unified and consistent message across various platforms using a multi-channel approach. The position will enhance the reputation of NSWALC, LALCs and the Land Rights network, and ensure the provision of effective and efficient internal and external communications services across the organisation. The position is responsible for leading the team in developing marketing campaigns from concept to execution, with a focus on place-based activities and events that highlight positive and relevant stories to Aboriginal communities across NSW.


Key Responsibilities

Lead the Marketing and Communications team to develop content across multiple channels, including traditional and social media, website, direct marketing and printed collateral to deliver regular and consistent messaging to identified audiences about major projects and priorities being delivered by NSWALC.

Provide high-level, expert advice to the CEO, Council and executive management leaders while undertaking a full range of communications activities in support of ongoing business requirements.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with media, the LALC network, relevant NSW Government agencies and other stakeholders to facilitate appropriate and timely media and engagement activities.


About you

* Aboriginality - this is an identified position under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
* Demonstrated marketing, media, communications, and stakeholder engagement experience.
* Demonstrated application of successful marketing and brand management strategies; and online media and marketing strategies, including a refined knowledge of social/new media.
* Previous management experience that demonstrates your supervisory skills in leading, managing and motivating a high functioning team to drive strategic outcomes.
