About the Role
We are seeking experienced and skilled Boilermakers to join our site crew at Olympic Dam. In this role, you will provide fabrication support and technical expertise to other trades and workgroups. As part of the Workshop team, you will use hand tools and semi-automated equipment to safely construct and fabricate components in line with quality, time, and safety standards, while also assisting in other areas as required.
14:7 working roster, DIDO from Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately is a must
* Ensure all respective works comply with relevant Australian Standards, BCA, Local Ordinances and other relevant codes and standards;
* Ensure that work is carried out in a timely manner
* Ensure material, labour, plant and equipment is used as effectively and efficiently as possible
* Competently and safely operate manual or semi-automatic tools and equipment to perform fabrication tasks.
* Fabrication and Welding to stringent standards
Skills and Experience
* Cert-3 Trade in Fabrication Engineering
* Confident in passing 3G & 4G Weld Qualifications in GMAW / FCAW
* Construction Induction (white card);
* Demonstrated attention to detail;
* Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team;
* Class C drivers license;
* Holding additional high-risk tickets and licenses are advantageous.
