* Deliver timely, culturally safe, evidence‐based care in line with agreed scope of practice and clinical governance frameworks.

About the role

Mparntwe Urgent Care is a GP‐led, multidisciplinary urgent care service delivering same‐day care for acute episodic presentations. The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, administrative staff, and visiting services to ensure safe, effective, and culturally responsive care.

Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are staffed by highly trained medical professionals and provide free (bulk billed) urgent health care. Within the service, culturally safe, equitable and accessible care is provided to all people, including vulnerable and young people within the community of Alice Springs and surrounding areas. Established within the Northside Congress Clinic, this purpose‐built clinic is designed to reduce pressure on the hospital and emergency department and integrate local health services to meet the needs of the local community.
