We are seeking a motivated Operational officer to oversee and support our daily traffic management operations remotely. This is a key role responsible for coordinating teams, supporting field staff, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and crews. Work from home position. No prior office experience required — full training provided. Traffic control background is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with daily scheduling and workforce allocation
* Coordinate traffic controllers across multiple job sites
* Communicate with clients, supervisors, and field teams
* Support day‐to‐day operational decisions and problem-solving
* Ensure jobs are delivered in line with TTM, Austroads, and TfNSW requirements
* Handle last‐minute changes and resourcing needs
* Maintain records (rosters, dockets, systems)
* Support continuous improvement of processes
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Traffic Controller in NSW (essential)
* Strong knowledge of traffic control operations and industry practices
* Good understanding of traffic control operations on site
* No prior office experience required — training will be provided
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Basic computer skills and willingness to learn systems
* Problem‐solving mindset and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced and dynamic environment
* Must be based in or near the Newcastle region
* Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup
* Red Card is not mandatory, but highly regarded
* Valid driver's licence and flexibility to work on site as required
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
