Cancer Support Registered Nurse In this role, you'll deliver holistic health promotion, community education, and culturally safe cancer care pathways. You will collaborate with local hospitals, palliative care services, and clinic staff to strengthen referral processes and build community trust. About the Opportunity As the Cancer Support Nurse, you will: Promote and embed cancer screening resources across community programs. Support clients and families in navigating cancer services and palliative care pathways. Coordinate planning with hospitals and Aboriginal Medical Services to ensure culturally safe referrals. Deliver health promotion activities, yarning circles, and community education. Assist in developing quality improvement processes and culturally appropriate learning materials. Skills and Experience Essential Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Experience in community health, chronic disease, oncology, or related programs. Current QLD Driver's Licence, First Aid/CPR, Blue Card, and National Police Check. Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team. Cultural awareness working rural and remote and with Aboriginal and Torres Island communities Desirable Experience in cancer screening, oncology nursing, or palliative care. Previous work in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services or rural health. IT skills including Microsoft Office.
