An opportunity is available for a Trade Assistant who would like to undertake a Fabrication/Vehicle Body Building apprenticeship in the future (anticipated 6 month to sign up). Working in the workshop alongside the fabrication team you will gain valuable experience and show you are dedicated to committing to a 4 year training contract to gain an Engineering Trade Certificate, The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: Western Australian Certificate of Education with passes in English and Mathematics Certificate II Pre Apprenticeship Engineering (Heavy Fabrication or Vehicle Body Building) certificates Tickets in Forklift, Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry an advantage Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in the fabrication and welding trade Good verbal and written communication skills Desire to learn, take direction and follow processes Positive Attitude The ability to work well within a team environment Good time management skills Positive attitude towards safety, quality and housekeeping The successful candidate will enjoy the benefits of: A safe and diverse working environment Ongoing mentoring and support from qualified tradespersons Exposure to working on a variety of mobile mining support service equipment Experience in the mining and mining services industry Secure employment On site gym Team building events Support Vehicles Australia is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY employer and people from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
