Description
Are you a passionate and qualified Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in aged care? Join our dedicated team and help older adults live with dignity, independence, and purpose every day. This is a part-time role working up to 60 hours per fortnight. This role has the potential to become full-time by taking additional hours in the community during November.
About The Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored interventions that meet the physical, emotional, and mental health needs of our residents. You'll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care that supports re-enablement and enhances quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct clinical assessments and update care plans in partnership with residents.
* Deliver timely, evidence-based therapy interventions.
* Collaborate with nursing, medical, and allied health professionals to optimise outcomes.
* Lead and support Therapy Assistants.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with aged care standards.
* Promote workplace safety and infection control practices.
* Support sustainable and cost-effective care delivery.
* Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
* Current and valid AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Demonstrated experience working with older people, including those with dementia and/or mental health conditions.
* Practical experience in client assessments and care planning.
* Familiarity with electronic record systems and documentation standards.
* Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation and aged care compliance requirements.
