From 1 January 2026, Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health and Nexus Primary Health will merge to form Omnia Community Health – a unified, not-for-profit organisation delivering inclusive, person-centred care across the Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie regions.
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Music Therapist (Grade 1 or 2) to join our Child and Youth Team. This is a casual position working across local Kindergartens, delivering engaging and therapeutic music sessions funded through School Readiness Funding (SRF). The role focuses on building the capacity of Kindergarten Teachers to integrate music-based strategies that support children's wellbeing, communication and participation.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver music therapy sessions with Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists in kindergarten settings.
* Collaborate with educators to embed music therapy practices into daily routines.
* Provide coaching and resources to build teacher capacity.
* Document and evaluate outcomes for children and educators.
* Explore opportunities for expanding services through alternative funding models and roles.
About you
* Tertiary qualification in Music Therapy and current registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
* Experience working with children and families.
* Strong communication and coaching skills.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments.
* Current Working with Children's Checkmmunication and participation.
