Offer description

Various Plant Operators — Open Cut Coal Mine Project (QLD) Multiple roles · Casual Contract · South-East Queensland · Day & Night Shifts · DIDO · Accommodation Provided · Start soon, Great pay rates based on skills and roster! Project start: 3–4 weeks | ~2 month duration (extension likely) | Multiple crews | Day & Night Shifts | DIDO | Accommodation provided | Coal Board Medical required We are mobilising multiple crews for an active open-cut coal mine project in Queensland. The project commences in 3–4 weeks and is expected to run for approximately 2 months — with strong likelihood of extension and ongoing opportunities for performers who prove their value. Roster details are discussed at phone screen stage. ★ Multi-Skilled Operators — You Are Our 1 Priority If you hold tickets across more than one machine class AND are willing to get out of the machine and work on the ground when required — you are exactly who this project needs. Operators who can flex across roles, support their crew, and keep production moving without being asked are the difference between a project that runs on time and one that doesn’t. Multi-skilled operators who bring that attitude will be given preference in selection and are highly likely to secure extended or ongoing work beyond this project. Crew Supervisors are a critical priority hire — suitably experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply first. The Crew Supervisor role does not require an OCE ticket; supervisors will report to the site’s OCE Supervisor. We are looking for experienced open-cut mining supervisors who know how to lead a crew, keep machines moving, and hold a panel accountable to production. Candidates who are also willing and able to operate plant when not performing supervisory duties are strongly preferred — the ability to step into a machine and keep production going is invaluable on this project. As is the same with Operators willing to get out and help on the ground where required. Roles we are recruiting (RII Certifications Required): · Large Excavator Operator – Production-scale excavator, 360T class · Large Dozer Operator – CAT D11 or equivalent heavy dozer · Dump Truck Operator – 177-tonne haul/dump truck · Mid-size Excavator Operator – 30-tonne class excavator · Water Cart Operator – 35,000-litre mine water cart · Grader Operator – CAT 16H/16M haul road grader · Service / Lube Truck Operator – Large field service vehicle · Light Tower Operator / Attendant – Mobile light plant, night shift support Crew Supervisor Shift leadership — reports to site OCE Supervisor What you must have: Valid RII competency tickets for your nominated equipment (current and site-accepted) Current Queensland Coal Board Medical (Coal Mine Workers’ Health Assessment) — or ability to obtain one prior to mobilisation Queensland Standard 11 coal mine induction (or ability to complete prior to start) Minimum 2 years’ proven experience operating production mining equipment in an open-cut environment Current driver’s licence Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen For the Crew Supervisor role, candidates must have demonstrated supervisory experience leading crews in an open-cut coal or civil mining operation — no OCE certificate required. Supervisors report directly to the site OCE Supervisor. Candidates who hold plant operating tickets in addition to their supervisory experience and are willing to operate when required will be highly regarded — this is a hands-on project and supervisors who lead from the ground up are exactly what we’re looking for. What you need to understand about this project This is a time-critical project operating across multiple panels simultaneously, running day and night shifts. Workers will be on a DIDO arrangement with accommodation provided on site — full details discussed at phone screen. The cost of unmanned plant and schedule slippage significantly outweighs the cost of labour — which means we need people who turn up, perform, and stay. We are not looking for operators who will be here for a week and gone. We need committed, reliable, experienced miners who take pride in keeping machines productive and the project on track. If you are the kind of operator who shows up every shift, runs a safe machine, and takes ownership of your role — there is a great chance of further work available beyond this project for those who demonstrate their value. We plan to reward loyalty and performance.
