We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high culinary standards, ensuring quality food production, and contributing to menu development while working in a fast-paced environment.

You will need to have a level of skill commensurate with either completion of a Certificate IV or higher in commercial cookery. Ideally the successful candidate will also have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen. Experience with Italian cuisine is highly desirable, but not essential.

What we expect
* Demonstrate a range of cooking techniques, monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
* Stock management and control.
* Kitchen presentation and asset management.
* Flexible with your availability to work over a 5-day roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

* Attention to detail while presenting a high standard of attractive and tasty dishes for our patrons.
* Strong communication skills with a good attitude towards front and back of house staff
* Effective time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
* Compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations including hygiene policies
Tasks may include:
* monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
* discussing food preparation issues with Managers and kitchen and waiting staff
* preparing and cooking food
* explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
* may select and train staff
