Description We are looking for a talented Field Service Mechanic to join our high performing field service team. The Gunnedah Basin mining region is home to over 170 Cummins High Horsepower engines, powering a range of mining equipment. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: First responder to breakdown events Fleet maintenance Capturing engine data Fault diagnostics Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) The face of Cummins at the customer site Responsibilities Qualifications and Competencies To be successful in this role you will need the following: Mechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light vehicle mechanic or plant mechanic. Light vehicle with heavy vehicle experience will also be considered Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM) Previous repairs and maintenance experience with Marine, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Mining, Construction or Agriculture applications is desirable but not essential.
