Specialist Pharmacist - Correctional Health
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Specialist Pharmacist to join our Forensic Health Services team at the Risdon Prison Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the coordination and provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service to achieve the best possible quality use of medicines in correctional facilities.
About the Team:
The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide pharmacy services across the area of Correctional Primary Health Services. This includes assisting in the coordination and provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service, working with prisoners in both outpatient and inpatient areas, and collaborating with medical, nursing, and other health professional staff.
About the Role:
* Dispensing and medication supply experience with an interest in the application of that experience in Correctional Health facilities.
* Critical analysis of medical and pharmaceutical information, exercising independent professional judgment.
* Multidisciplinary team collaboration, delivering practical drug information to medical, nursing, and other health professional staff and clients.
Requirements:
* Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia or completion of an overseas qualification eligible for skills assessment through the Australian Pharmacy Council.
