About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS6 Learning Designer. This part-time casual contract offers up to 22.5 hours per week and is located in their busy Phillip, ACT office for an initial contract until 30 June 2027, with possible 12-month extension options.
About the Position
The APS6 Learning Designer will support the design and development of high-quality digital learning solutions for a large and dispersed workforce. The role will involve translating complex policy, business and system information into clear, engaging and accessible training content, including eLearning modules, videos and multimedia assets.
Duties
* Design and develop innovative online learning solutions using Articulate 360, Storyline and Rise
* Translate complex source material into accurate, learner-centred training content
* Develop instructional videos, screen recordings, voiceovers and multimedia learning assets
* Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content and shape learning solutions
* Review and improve existing learning materials to support continuous improvement
* Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practice across all deliverables
Requirements/Skills
* Demonstrated experience in learning design and digital content development
* Strong capability using Articulate 360, Storyline and Rise
* Experience producing instructional video and multimedia content
* Ability to interpret complex policy, regulatory or technical information and convert it into accessible learning materials
* Strong visual design skills and an eye for polished, engaging content
* High-level communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
* Australian Citizenship is mandatory
* Experience in aged care, My Aged Care, or a complex policy/regulatory environment will be highly regarded
* Existing Baseline Security clearance preferred, but ability to obtain is acceptable.
