The position
The P&A Parts and Production Coordinator is responsible for the accurate interpretation and entry of OEM customer orders, including detailed analysis of part information and ERP system data such as pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times and complex bill of materials (BOMs). Working closely with the P&A Inventory Planner, this position ensures shortages are identified, orders are processed accurately and on time, and ERP records are maintained to a high standard. Strong computer proficiency, analytical capability and exceptional attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
What you'll be doing
* Entering and analysing customer orders, validating price, minimum order quantity (MOQ), quantities and part number supersessions
* Identifying and resolving order discrepancies (e.g. pricing or MOQ mismatches) in consultation with the General Manager P&A
* Reviewing released BOMs against customer orders and communicating potential BOM errors to relevant stakeholders
* Monitoring inventory levels, identifying shortages and liaising with the P&A Inventory Planner to ensure stock is on order
* Confirming accurate lead times and promised delivery dates within the ERP system
* Coordinating part rework and modifications, including raising work requests and managing part flow to and from production
* Overseeing customer‐specific repacking, labelling and compliance requirements, ensuring quality standards are met
* Preparing and verifying shipping documentation, ensuring correct storage conditions and managing accurate customer invoicing
Skills and experience you'll need to succeed
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail for parts interpreting and part number accuracy
* Methodical, organised and process‐driven
* Willingness to be hands‐on while still thinking analytically
* Ability to analyse multi‐component parts (e.g. BOMs, kits, lists, etc.)
* Strong computer and data interpretation skills – confident data entry and validation
* Strong task tracking and follow‐through
* Calm under pressure when juggling multiple orders/tasks
* Experience working with an ERP system (INFOR/LN, SAP, Pronto, Oracle, Dynamics) or similar level of applicable computer skills
* Current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
* Experience in parts interpreting, parts coordination, inventory or supply chain operations highly desirable
* Experience handling parts (automotive, industrial, engineering or similar) highly desirable
* Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) or multi‐component parts highly desirable
* Experience in a warehouse, production or manufacturing environment highly valued
