Travel industry Business Development Manager
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join a leading travel business as a Business Development Manager. This role is focused on driving new business initiatives within a vibrant leisure travel network. The ideal candidate will either be well-connected within the retail travel space, bringing strong existing networks, or a proven BDM/new business hunter with the drive to open doors and build lasting partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain multi-level relationships within the travel industry.
* Collaborate with marketing for lead generation efforts.
* Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions and manage opportunities.
* Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Understand market trends and competitive offerings.
* Present products and services effectively to maximize engagement and profitability.
* Negotiate agreements to optimize outcomes.
* Support customers through transitional phases.
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years in the travel industry, ideally in a business development role with a strong multilevel understanding of leisure / retail travel.
* Either: strong existing networks in retail travel or demonstrable success as a new business hunter.
* Strategic approach to bringing on new accounts.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* Familiarity with CRM systems.
* Understanding of travel agency operations and supplier landscapes.
