The Project
UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
We are looking for a Supervisor – Tower Assembly & Erection to join our team onsite.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project connecting Wagga Wagga, Maragle, and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of Australia's eastern electricity network. It is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, comprising about 365 km of proposed new transmission lines and various upgrades.
The HumeLink West scope, valued at $1.4bn, includes the delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning approximately 140 km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa, connecting with HumeLink East near Gundagai, and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
What will a day in this role look like:
* 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Trade Qualification
* Supervisor Certificate
* Strong communication skills (oral & written), including negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships at various levels both internally and externally
* Ability to work independently, organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through in a fast-paced environment
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and email
The following qualifications and experience are highly desirable but not mandatory. All applications will be considered.
About You
* Extensive construction quality and/or completions experience
* Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, technical and management system standards
* ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor
* Trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Transmission)
* Experience as an inspector of final products/services, especially in renewable/utility EPCM projects
* Ability to work independently, organise demands, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
* Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site
