About the Team
The Victorian Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Service at Peter Mac provides a clinical service, education, training and research aimed at improving health outcomes for young people living with cancer and their families.
About the Role
The Victorian Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Service is seeking a Grade 3 Neuropsychologist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting young people aged 15–25 diagnosed with cancer across Victoria. This is a new position in the team, providing an exciting opportunity to shape and develop neuropsychological services for this population. The role involves specialist neuropsychological assessment, intervention, and consultation for adolescents and young adults experiencing cognitive, emotional, social, and functional challenges related to cancer and its treatment.
You will work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health members of the team to guide collaborative care planning, support daily functioning and wellbeing, and provide expert advice to families, carers, and the broader care network. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a youth-focused, integrated environment, helping young people and their families navigate diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care.

About You
You are a skilled and motivated Clinical Neuropsychologist with current registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and post-graduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology.
You bring a minimum of five years' experience practising as a psychologist at Grade 2 level, with strong expertise in neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and intervention. You work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams, maintaining high standards of professional and ethical practice.
You also hold Board-approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia and have experience providing supervision, mentoring, and support to psychologists and trainees. Strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build effective therapeutic relationships and contribute positively to team and service development.
Remuneration as per Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists Victorian Public Sector (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025. Grade 3 Psychologist, Year 1 (PL1): $108,279.60 (full-time equivalent - to be prorated for Part Time) – Year 4 (PL4): $123,905.60 (full-time equivalent - to be prorated for Part Time), dependent on candidate experience.
